We are currently looking to hire an Aquarium Specialist for a full-time position. Daily routine includes duties such as:

• Assisting customers with their aquariums in a high-end, high-level customer experience-oriented environment.
• Cleaning and maintenance of freshwater, saltwater and saltwater reef aquariums.
• Monitoring the health of fish, corals, and invertebrates and medicating/performing husbandry as necessary.
• Cleaning and maintaining all filtration components and equipment.
• Testing and maintaining proper water parameters in freshwater, saltwater, and reef aquariums.
• Preparing food portions and feeding fish, invertebrates and coral

Qualifications:

• Marine Science/Biology or other Environmental Science Degree and/or SEVERAL years experience maintaining personal aquariums (preferably saltwater and freshwater aquarium keeping experience).
• Experience with keeping freshwater planted aquariums and/or marine reef aquariums is a huge bonus.
• Applicant must possess a thorough knowledge of disease recognition, daily aquarium husbandry, food preparation, nutrition, and water quality.
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is necessary .

This position requires work on weekends. While there are many opportunities for weekends off during the year, you will be expected to be on the schedule for weekends (Saturday 10am-7pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm).
