Now Hiring: Laundry & Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities of Laundry & Housekeeping Supervisor:

• Manage and supervise the housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Follow center policies and procedures as well as federal and state of Connecticut requirements.
• Perform and lead teams in housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Lead staff training, quality control, and in-services.
• Tour the building several times a day to assess work quality of laundry and housekeeping team.
• Communicate effectively with Administrator, other staff, and residents/building occupants.
• Maintain income and expenses, supplies, personnel, and equipment records.
• Utilize and assist in the training of using protective gear.
• Assist and train with the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions.
• Ensure all safety and quality guidelines are met.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment is always achieved.
• Follow proper reporting, isolation, and hand-washing techniques.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality, timely completion of required/scheduled cleaning.
• Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.

Qualifications of Laundry & Housekeeping Supervisor:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Perform routine and repetitive tasks daily.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English to communicate effective with others.
• Work as scheduled and on time.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 lbs., push/pull a maximum of 50 lbs., stand/sit/bend/walk for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
