    Job Description:

    The Business Partner develops effective working relationships with assigned client organization’s Leadership team and supports the development and implementation of divisional HR strategies and practices in support of the client organization’s business plans in the areas of leadership development, workforce planning, compensation, talent and performance management, organizational change management, employee engagement, retention, and talent acquisition with a foundational focus on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA).

    Essential Accountabilities

    Level I

    • Develops and maintains an understanding of the client organization’s short- and long-range goals, marketplace position, financial position, and strategic plan to assess and anticipate HR-related needs and provide proactive recommendations.
    • Applies people analytics to empower business leaders to make data driven decisions by communicating workforce risks, analyzing workforce trends, and identifying future opportunities.
    • Collaborates with all HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) both in service to assigned client organization and to better position HR to deliver “Best in Class” HR processes, policies, and practices that drive competitive advantage for the organization.
    • Acts as the aligned product manager for two (2) to three (3) COE-owned products (based on level of complexity) to support the product’s lifecycle management at an enterprise-level (not just within assigned client organization) from product conceptualization through deployment and ensures alignment through frequent communication and recommending process improvements.
    • Maintains working knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to employment law to evaluate and resolve complex employee issues (in partnership with employee relations) to reduce potential risk to the business.
    • Supports the development and implementation of enterprise HR initiatives focused on partnering with the business on strategic imperatives.
    • Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
    • Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

    • Performs other functions as assigned by management.

    Level II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities)

    • Acts as an independent, self-directed initiator for assigned client organization, taking ownership of work without prompts from leadership to drive prioritization of work, process improvements, productivity, change, or outcomes.
    • Acts as the aligned product manager for three (3) to four (4) interconnected COE-owned products (based on level of complexity) and collaborates directly with the COE product owner/leader to support the lifecycle management and influence the overarching product strategy and process with enterprise-wide stakeholder feedback.
    • Maintains an understanding of the broader talent landscape including best practices and theories from external research on Talent Management topics and regularly brings forward learnings to the team.

    Level III (in addition to Level II Accountabilities)

    • Acts as the primary owner of the Business Partner relationship to an Executive Team member and provides HR strategic consulting support with an enterprise lens, OR acts as a functional strategic consultant across two or more Executive Team-led divisions where differentiated support is required to operationalize HR initiatives for efficiency across the aligned divisions.
    • Acts as functional Team Lead across peer group, ensuring work is appropriately resourced to serve divisional needs, and trains new team members on aligned client needs and team processes as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    NOTE: We include multiple levels of classification differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making, and in some cases, becoming a resource to others. In addition to using this differentiated approach to place new hires, it also provides guideposts for employee development and promotional opportunities.

    All Levels

    • Nine or more cumulative years of relevant Human Resources experience, or. Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
    • Knowledge of health care industry preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Agile Product Ownership/Management preferred.
    • Demonstrated skill in conflict resolution, decision making, influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, results orientation, systems thinking, written communication, multi-tasking, prioritization, group presentations, group process facilitation, and project management.
    • Working knowledge of current HR policies and procedures, employment law, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the HR field such as knowledge of Talent Management Program Development Initiatives (Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Development, Workforce Planning, and Conflict Resolution) and can execute those initiatives to completion.
    • High tolerance for dealing with ambiguity and on-going change. Ability to work in a complex environment with changing priorities.

    Level II (in Addition To Level I Qualifications)

    • Five (5) or more years of progressive, multidisciplinary HR experience, including at least three (3) years of dedicated experience working as an HR Business Partner aligned to senior leadership.
    • Certification in Human Resources to an accredited institution (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of health care products and industry.
    • Demonstrated experience as an Agile Product Owner/Manager or equivalent preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently balance competing priorities in both strategic and day-to-day service delivery.
    • Demonstrated experience translating business opportunities into a vision, strategy, and action plan.

    Level III (in Addition To Level II Qualifications)

    • Masters’ degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
    • Seven (7) or more years of progressive, multidisciplinary HR experience, including at least four (4) years dedicated experience working as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within the organization, preferably within a matrixed environment.
    • Ability to lead cross-functionally and instill trust across all hierarchy levels on high-impact, high-visibility divisional people strategies.
    • Proven ability to communicate and influence at the executive level.
    • Demonstrated credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows upward and downward.
    • Experience acting as a primary contributor to improving major processes with a significant impact on company processes or practices required.
    • Experience leading teams or cross-functional, enterprise projects.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
    • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

    Compensation Range(s)

    Grade 208 Minimum $67,538.00 - Maximum $124,925.00

    Grade 209 Minimum $75,816.00 - Maximum $140,254.00

    Grade 210 Minimum $85,446.00 - Maximum $158,080.00

    The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
