    PALFINGER is searching for a HR Operations Analyst to define the HR Technology priorities in partnership with our Tech Teams and our Global Talent Organization. This role will be focused on defining & driving the HR technology roadmap to ensure the investments we make provide us with the critical infrastructure we need to scale and empower our employees to do the best work of their careers.


    PALFINGER is open to having this role be remote with the person located near our Council Bluffs, Iowa facility or working from our new North American Headquarters located in Schaumburg, Illinois in a hybrid capacity. This position reports to the Manager of HR Operations & Total Rewards.



    You will need a solid understanding and background in both HR technology and the business, to communicate solution-focused ideas to a variety of levels of sponsors, stakeholders, and end- users.


    The HR Operations Analyst is responsible for delivering technical solutions to Human Resources. Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource information systems (HR Technology) activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions that cover the entire employee life-cycle from hire to retire and assisting the end-user community in efficient and effective use of HR systems. Lead the design and implementation HR Systems solutions. You will work to continuously provide improved systems functionality and ensure, through participation in the systems development life cycle, that the proposed system/solution delivers the expected business results. You will support process improvements and standardization of procedures to improve efficiency and ensure control over HR systems related activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Key liaison between HR and our technology teams focused on establishing, assessing, and executing the HR Technology Roadmap. Provide consultation and strategic vision as a trusted partner to the business in assessing technology needs.

    • Engage with cross functional stakeholders and teams to understand and drive business strategies, foundational processes, talent initiatives, and address gaps and areas of opportunities with scalable, standardized, and simple technology solutions where possible.
    • Provide consultation and recommendations to the business and tech teams on the HR technology roadmap based on the HR long term strategy, business focus and areas of opportunities.
    • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of the HR Technology Portfolio with multiple, concurrent HR technology projects of varying complexity, providing consultation, strategic vision, and innovative solutioning.
    • Work with project sponsors, functional and technology team leaders to craft and confirm project objectives. Drive the intake process for new technology project requests and clearly articulate to stakeholders the status and next steps for each request.
    • Establish clear communication channels and cadence with key stakeholders to share decisions, priorities, and relevant project / intake information.
    • Partner closely with HR Project Managers, Change Practitioners, Process Excellence, Business Owners, and Tech Team to drive exceptional project results.
    • Contribute to overall project planning, build, test, execution, and success as needed for technical projects/implementations.
    • Perform business analysis, gather, develop, and craft clear business requirements on behalf of the business, foundational to all HR technology projects.
    • Facilitate and assist with planning of design sessions to capture business & system requirements.
    • Ensure the build of the solution is meeting the project objectives, keeping the original problem statement top of mind and ensuring the technology investment provides the expected ROI and value.
    • Track and ensure visibility to ongoing engagement, adoption, measurement, outcomes, and success; taking lessons learned forward to expand, improve, and evolve technology solutions. Use data to inform engagement, adoption and success of technology projects.
    • Work with the business and tech teams to identify and recommend system improvements, process gaps, new features, and functionality that will enhance the HR Technology landscape.
    • Supports the day-to-day HRIS and assists SharePoint and Applicant Tracking System.
    • Lead and provide analytical reporting capabilities to provide insights into HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Create and ensure accurate process documentation is designed and updated for HR technology processes and provide training to users as needed.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree or related work experience
    • 5 years of system implementation experience
    • Implementation of HR Technologies a plus
    • Ability to communicate clearly and influence technical & business focused roles at all levels of the organization.
    • Understanding of core HR teams, stakeholders and processes including HR Operations, Training & Development, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, DEI, etc.
    • HRIS, HCM experience required, ADP, SuccessFactors, Smartsheet experience a plus (implementing, supporting, evaluating)
    • Excellent communication, listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to logically and efficiently structure ambiguous problems, identify sources of data, conduct complicated analysis, identify key insights and recommended actions.
    • Ability to be highly productive and proactive with key stakeholders; can easily connect dots and ensure stakeholders are aligned on solutions/recommendations.
    • Ability to communicate and facilitate discussions with executive team, business and HR leaders.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles & methodology; previous experience leading projects preferred.
    • Ability to translate ideas into action through engagement, strategic thinking, leveraging past experience and innovative solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, leveraging analysis to facilitate discussions and guide decisions.
    • Strong technical understanding with the ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas & solutions to non-technical team members and partners and vice versa.
    • Ability to dream big and connect the dots as an influential HR technology strategist.
    • Passion for knowledge sharing with direct team members, key business and technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to travel about 5% of the time.
