What You’ll Do:
- Employee Relations & Workforce Development: Serve as a key point of contact for employee concerns and grievances. Build strong relationships, coach employees, and develop solutions to create a high-performance, engaged workforce.
- Employee Benefits & Programs: Assist employees with benefits like health, dental, vision, disability insurances, wellness programs, and 401k participation. Ensure smooth benefits enrollment and confidential record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA.
- Compliance & Policy Guidance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and advise managers on HR policies, FMLA, ADA, and other employment laws. Help maintain and update the company handbook to reflect current regulations.
- Payroll & HRIS: Support payroll processes using ADP and work closely with the Compensation & Benefits Manager to ensure fair and competitive pay practices.
- Employee Events & Engagement: Plan and coordinate meaningful employee events that enhance team spirit and connect employees to the company and community.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: BA/BS in Human Resources, Communications, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience with increasing responsibility. Expertise in areas such as recruiting, benefits, compensation, or organizational development is a plus.
- Influencing & mediation skills: Ability to effectively communicate and influence cross-functional teams. Strong verbal, written and mediation skills.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now. Experience with Cornerstone is a plus.
- Interpersonal Skills: Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on building strong relationships and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Develop team members: Experience managing and developing HR team members .
