Patrick Industries is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support our manufacturing site, Ubique Technologies. Under the direction of the Business Unit Director, the Human Resources Generalist will act as a strategic partner to both the leadership team and hourly Team Members to support all components of the HR function, including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, talent management, compliance and more!

Responsibilities and Duties:
Working closely with the Leadership Team, the HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources in a plant environment. This position will be a hands-on leader who can implement HR programs and initiatives that align with the Business Unit’s goals. The position will have a high floor presence and needs to be able to interact daily with production Team Members as well as function as a strategic partner to the business.
- All facets of Human Resource Generalist functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training and development, and other functional HR areas
- Develop and support programs for turnover reduction and talent development
- Identify gaps surrounding current HR functions and develop mitigation tools to help support the needs of the Business Unit
- Lead initiatives that help strengthen the culture and create a positive team member experience
- Provide coaching and consulting to managers and team members in areas of performance management, employee retention, positive employee relations practices, and conflict resolution
- Manage time and attendance policies for the Business Unit
- Ensure all team members have a positive onboarding experience and orientation into the plant
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified team members for open positions collaboratively with leadership, including facilitating background checks and drug screens
- Lead employee relations matters including investigations, corrective action, and employee complaints in collaboration with leadership
- Assist leaders and team members with HR tasks such as pay changes, performance reviews, 90-day reviews, open enrollment, HRIS system requests, change requests, and other relevant tasks
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline preferred
- 5 years of Human Resource Generalist experience with progressive movement
- Ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Manufacturing experience highly desired
- Strategic thought leader with proven ability to execute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- High level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect)
- Ability to work independently with ever-changing daily priorities
- Strong accountability and follow-through
