Summary:
Responsible for creating the Welch Culture through the business while leading the day to day activities of human resources administration through recruiting, training and development as well as being a resource for all associates on compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the implementation of facility safety program including participation on plant safety committee, conducting audits and recommending improvements to current processes. Also, will maintain training records for facility and drive OSHA compliance at facility.
- Responsible for all phases of employment, including advertising, recruiting, interviewing, testing, placement, orientation, training and development of associates, exit interviews and unemployment compensation hearings.
- Reviews applications, performs references checks and employment verifications. Establishes and maintains qualification standards for all positions.
- Serves as the primary source of contact to facility managers and employees on all human resource related matters.
- Responds to employee complaints and conducts investigations into problems regarding work rules, policies and procedures.
- Participates in strategic plan to cultivate culture and promote continued growth through employee development.
- Understands importance of follow up and follow through with internal and external customers.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company policy and procedures.
- Support the recruiting, training and development for the Company’s Leadership Opportunity Development program. Actively work with Elkhart-based group to ensure development plans are in place and utilized.
- Implements and annually updates compensation programs, rewrites job descriptions as necessary, analyzes compensation, monitors performance review process.
- Sets up and maintains tracking systems for performance reviews, vacations and company metrics such as turnover statistics.
- Is a key resource for specific HR projects and supporting the HR Team.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of files, salaries and other information of a business or personal nature.
- Stays current of changes in federal, state and local employment laws.
- Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures.
