HVAC Mechanic jobs in Little Rock, AR

FutureFuel Chemical Company in Batesville, Arkansas, is looking for a new member for our HVAC maintenance team. HVAC Mechanics/Technicians work under the general supervision of a team manager and performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance work related maintaining a variety of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems, including glycol chillers, evaporators, heat pumps, air conditioners, and building fan systems. He/she uses a personal computer and must be knowledgeable of FutureFuel Chemical Company's systems maintenance systems. HVAC Mechanics/Technicians provide after-hours support when needed. HVAC Mechanics/Technicians works with a peer to manage the day-to-day needs of the clients across the plant. Using electrical single line drawings, schematic diagrams, manuals, specifications, Process Industry Practices, and Standard Engineering Practices associated with HVAC work and equipment, the HVAC team performs a wide variety of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work as well as performing some troubleshooting of PLC that control complex HVAC equipment such as chillers. They often provide initial checkout and installation of new HVAC equipment and make recommendations concerning proper equipment operations. HVAC Mechanics/Technicians connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete systems 

HVAC Mechanics/Technicians may work in elevated locations, confined spaces, and extremes in ambient temperatures and must wear company provided FR Clothing. This is a safety sensitive position.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4-years’ HVAC experience and preferably an associate degree in an HVAC program or similar field of study. Aptitude testing is required for this position and applicants must successfully achieve Silver level on the Arkansas Career Readiness Certification including the WorkKeys Skills Applied Technology and Workplace Observation sections OR have passed the FutureFuel/Eastman pre-employment tests for Operations and Maintenance (Reading Comprehension, Troubleshooting, Graphic Arithmetic, Background and Work Interests Inventory, Assembly, Mechanical Comprehension).
