Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. As a Hydraulic Hose Technician you will be given a work van loaded with all the tools and inventory needed to do the job. Your job is to show up on site and replace hydraulic hoses/adaptors on all different kinds of heavy machinery, this includes the removal of the hose as well as putting the new one back on. You will be thoroughly trained for about a month in which you will learn the in's and outs of hydraulic hoses before doing jobs on your own. As a tech you are also on call 1 night a week as well as almost one weekend a month, as we are a 24/7 company. Must have a valid driver's license to do the job. You will earn an hourly wage plus be eligible for commission based bonuses based on your sales for each month. its a fast paced environment. you will have multiple jobs per day. once hose school is completed you will ride around the city in your van with your Field Service Supervisor until they feel you are capable of doing the job on your own.
When not in the field you are expected to make sales calls and/or help in the shop.
