Immigration Specialist oversees immigration programs and assists foreign nationals with immigration procedures. Ensures all paperwork, including applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner.     Introduction to the job

    Key resource and leader to all Regional US Immigration related matters. This includes the collaboration with other Departments, the direct processing of immigration cases and coordination of services between the employee and US Immigration Providers. Inclusive of these groups is the aptitude and ability to create a close working relationship with Talent Acquisition Coordinators, Managers and specific stakeholder departments for strategic planning with different locations.

    Role and responsibilities

    • Regional Immigration POC for Organizational Changes (re-orgs) that impacts employees US Immigration case(s) Includes cost analysis and forecast, group strategy, communication to stakeholders, information and implementation/delivery and the process plan to the department needs.
    • Assess and provide recommendations that could financially impact the organization and/or stakeholders.
    • Provide US Consulate information to employees on guidance of how to complete forms and schedule appointments.
    • Project Leader for knowledge-base department projects and main US IMO (International Mobility Office) educator on US Immigration policies and practices. Provides in person and/or online teams presentation(s), prepares and attends collaboration meetings and training sessions that involve the knowledge and input of US Immigration to key stakeholders for making decisions.
    • Provide high risk report reviews and leading presentations for the local HR teams. Includes assessment levels of risk based on policy and awareness of external IMO policy to make an inclusive recommendation.
    • Provide data analysis of reports based on expertise knowledge and background for next steps and provide recommendations and risks to stakeholders.

    Education and experience

    • Minimum B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy or related fields.
    • 3 years of experience and expertise knowledge of all areas of US Immigration (non-immigrant/ immigrant) or global mobility in a HR team.

    Skills

    • Database management skills, Intermediate experience involving MS Office suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), MS Teams, Project Management Planner.
    • Proficiency in Excel for V-looks, pivots and basic data analytics functions.
    • Strong writing and oral communication.
    • Proficiency with web-based applications and internal software platforms (workday, SAP, talent tool) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Planner, Sharepoint, Whiteboard).
    • Ability to be flexible to new ways of working or constant changes and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Ability to be on numerous calls throughout the day and time management.
    • Ability to work with a diverse and global work population.
    • Ability to lead independent projects.
    • Prior Human Resources and Customer Service Experience helpful.
    • High level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated strong teamwork and collaboration skills working in a dynamic and changing multinational organization.
    • Driven to add value and continue to seek opportunities for improvements for internal and external teams. These include visual aids, communication templates and enhancement of processes and adjusting to the audience needs.
    • Ability to manage highly time sensitive and confidential information and discussions. Manage expectations and provide care for employee’s personal and family matters related to US Immigration.
    • Requires independent decision making and collaboration of US Immigration. Provider(s) coordination of services while seeking the best outcome for the employee and company.
    • Stay up to date on US and global Immigration regulations and policies.
    • Manage email requests that come through main Immigration inbox.
    • Provide US Immigration Support Letters.
    • Review, approve and Signature of Visa Petition documents.
    • Update Internal Company database records.
    • Manage large volume of cases, multiple Immigration Providers.
