Air and Ocean Export / Import

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Coordinate Export / Import shipments from origin, shipper, truckers, steamship lines and airlines
• Arrange pickup and delivery for inland transportation
• Track the shipment to ensure it has reached the final destination
• Verifies shipment weight and volumes
• Calculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and rates
• Responsible for audit compliance with FMC regulations
• Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation
• Ensure SOP and tariff compliance along with best practices and efficiencies
• Supports local sales efforts with timely responses to emails and rate requests
• Maintain communications with the customers, carries and vendors
• Responsible for filling Pre alerts and ISF’s
• Handles the full process from A-Z
• Handling and resolving Import troubleshooting issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• 2 years in the Freight Forwarding industry
• 2 years in an Import position
• Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
• Being able to work independently and part of a team
• Able to cope under pressure and meet deadlines
• Great organizational skills
• Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
• Ability to navigate and work efficiently using IT software

Desired Qualifications :

• DG, Hazmat or TSA Certification
• CargoWise
• Ability to commute to work
• Flexible attitude towards work
• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s
