Your responsibilities

Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform various facilities maintenance activities.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities :

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery / equipment and perform timely repairs on all equipment
• Perform timely facility / building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Dismantle defective machines / equipment and install new or repaired equipment
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
• Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him / herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required
• Assist in any duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
• 3-5 years experience in an industrial, maintenance environment
• Formal degree or certificate in a technical area or related field required
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Little or no supervisor assistance is required
• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
• Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
• Ability to use basic measurement instruments such as tape measure, scales, and gauges
• Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker

Job Compensation

$29.94 - $40.51
