Industrial Engineer jobs in Waterbury, CT

This position is responsible for establishing process methods and industrial engineering solutions for new and existing products.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Develops, enters and maintains manufacturing process plans and routers
2. Calculates the estimated manufacturing cost of new products in support of Sales and Product Management quoting process.
3. Analyzes the cost and ease of manufacture of new and existing products. Makes recommendations to Plant Management based on that analysis.
4. Reviews cost of existing products and updates as necessary to meet current customer, industry and manufacturing cost requirements. This includes support of Corporate Accounting with maintenance and rolling costs.
5. Functions as an industrial engineering consultant to manufacturing on problems related to the manufacture of the company’s products. 
6. Responsible for establishing new products and routers into the MRP AS400 system and creating the associated Bill-of-Material.
7. Maintains process and engineering change (CRR) database and records.
8. Responsible for updating departmental procedures as needed.
9. Supports lean enterprise activities in support of API Plant objectives.
