Infant Teacher jobs in Scranton, PA

Come join a great early education environment! We are searching for a patient, compassionate caregiver/ early educator to join our infant and toddler team of teachers. Placements would be in the infant class, 9am-6pm. The infant room is a caregiving position which focuses on children's developmental milestones. This is a hands on, fun, exciting role for a teacher who has a lot of energy to keep up with our little ones adventurous day!

Requirements:

at least 2 years working or volunteering with children

minimum of HS diploma

CDA or 18 credits in education or Associates degree or Bachelors degree in education is preferred. Applicants with a HS diploma and no education will be required to obtain their CDA within their first year of teaching.

current PA clearances (state police, child abuse, fbi, nsor)

health physical with tb test

2 letters of recommendation

Responsibilities include:

providing a safe and healthy environment for children

assisting the lead teacher with an assigned curriculum for the class

assisting with conducting observations, screenings and assessments

general caretaking of diapering/ feeding

logging activities and caretaking on Brightwheel child care software

communicating with parents regularly

participating in special events/ fundraisers/ trainings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
