Infection Control Coordinator monitors and investigates known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and contain outbreak. Reviews sterilization and disinfection techniques and recommends changes as needed. Being an Infection Control Coordinator provides related education to staff. Prepares simple cultures as needed for environmental and individual studies. Additionally, Infection Control Coordinator evaluates sterilization and disinfection methods and recommends changes as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Infection Control Coordinator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. What You Will Do as the Infection Preventionist

As a Stonerise Infection Preventionist, you will work with center personnel to limit the spread of disease. This will include implementing general policies to protect patients and care providers, as well as consulting in specific cases where there are concerns. You will serve public health interests by implementing disease outbreak intervention procedures in affected areas of the center, and by notifying the appropriate public health authorities in the event of an outbreak. You will also collect, record, and analyze hospital records and lab reports to assess the extent of the outbreak to make appropriate recommendations.
