    Purpose: Business Solution Group seeks a Senior Project Coordinator to lead our procurement work within the ARPA Infection Control project. The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and improving the procurement process to align with the grant's goals while ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements. This includes vendor management, leading negotiations, maintaining accurate vendor records, and effectively managing procurement projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Project Coordination

    • Identify, plan, and coordinate project activities consistent with goals and resources.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project content area.
    • Lead project facilitation and develop project action plans and timelines with autonomy.
    • Identify, prioritize, and delegate project tasks to team members when appropriate.
    • Monitor task status and participate in proactive planning to maintain project schedules.
    • Coordinate and participate in the development of all project reporting requirements.
    • Provide final review of all project deliverables and sign off before submission.
    • Facilitate and lead internal and external project meetings.
    • Oversee project updates on the completion status of tasks, ongoing activities, and project issues from project staff.
    • Lead monitoring of projects' financial status and approved budgets and timelines.
    • Continuously correspond with clients and subcontractors, funding agencies, and project partners.

    Facilitation Activities

    • Design strategies to support partners in planning and decision making related to project development, project planning, implementation, and reporting.
    • Facilitate planning and decision-making processes while supporting partner engagement and consensus building.
    • Use effective facilitation techniques and align facilitation strategies with partner needs.

    Project and Business Development Responsibilities

    • Lead project development activities, including identifying, conceptualizing, writing, and producing proposals, preparing work plans, reading, and reviewing literature and materials, assembling plans and models for new technical assistance and evaluation activities, and seeking opportunities for project development and additional project funding.
    • Remain current on literature in key areas to be identified in collaboration with the Program Director.

    Administrative/MPHI Responsibilities

    • Write, lead, and implement project work plans, IRB application materials, timelines, and reports.
    • Present project results and lead project meetings as needed.
    • Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional interpersonal relationship with all parties to MPHI projects and always represent MPHI's best interests.
    • Participate in ongoing strategic planning and other special projects for the Center and company.
    • Maintain all MPHI-required internal training requirements.
    • Coach and mentor on MPHI's Core Values of Servant Leadership, Health Equity and Social Justice, Authentic Relationships, and Quality and Excellence.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Education: A bachelor's degree is required; however, a combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree will be considered to best meet the needs of this position.

    Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, facilities, or related industry required. Experience with implementation, change management, project management, facilitation, or process improvement preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based applications, and virtual meeting platforms.

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Some tasks may require travel. May require a valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform the duties of this position.

    This position involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 50% to 75% of the time.

    RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: Will supervise, hire, train, review and develop improvement plans for a team of professionals.
