    GENERAL PURPOSE

    Responsible for supporting systems and processes utilized by the Finance and Human Resources Divisions; analyzing departmental and individual requirements for business software solutions; developing, implementing and maintaining applications; documenting system components and user instructions; gathering, analyzing, and developing reports; conveying information; and serving as a resource to others.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Administer software updates ensuring updates to district ERP system, Munis, with latest releases.
    • Develop and maintain processes for updating bulk data and importing data from other data systems automating tasks and assisting the Finance and Human Resources Divisions with bulk changes.
    • Administer district enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and related software systems providing excellent customer service and coordinating district processes.
    • Collaborate with software vendors reporting and correcting software/data issues.
    • Collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties providing and/or receiving data and information, evaluating needs, designing processes, and supporting District needs.
    • Design and implement role based access controls for district business software ensuring proper security access to district data.
    • Develop a wide variety of complex materials documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
    • Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops, and/or trainings conveying and/or gathering information required for their functions.
    • Prepare a wide variety of data files, reports, and documents conveying information, making recommendations, and delivering services in a timely fashion.
    • Respond to inquiries from a variety of District personnel providing technical assistance, advice and support.
    • Contribute to the development, monitoring, and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for critical systems and databases, ensuring continuity of operations and data integrity.
    • Perform other related duties as required/assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of job related experience is required.

     

    Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

    • Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Knowledge of algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
    • Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: Microsoft Office; Inter/Intranet applications; database administration; data security, project management, processes and methodology; knowledge of structured query language (SQL), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • Knowledge based competencies in general programming, general scripting, general accounting, and general human resource.
    • Skill to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
    • Skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, including: operating standard office equipment; manipulating and analyzing large data sets; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and utilizing pertinent software applications.
    • Ability to read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions.
    • Ability to analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions and create action plans.
    • Ability to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment.

    • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    • Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.
    • The work is light work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
    • Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
    • Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, manual dexterity, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
