Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Auditor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Work Schedule – Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (36-hour work week), This position performs on-call duties in assigned rotation. Must be accessible during off-hours during on-all rotation

    THE ROLE
    Under the direction of the IT Director and Assistant City Manager, works with the City’s Executive Team and Information Technology Management team as well as department team members to coordinate and facilitate the successful completion of Information Technology and other large or significant projects for the City. The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordination, implementation, communication, reporting and training for assigned Information Technology related and other projects. Duties include complete project management from initial identification of the product through implementation and turnover to users, budget management, and resource management; training coordination and other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications - External

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
    • At least 5 years’ experience working as a project manager or IT project manager.
    • At least 2 successful implementations of Enterprise Information Technology Projects or like size and scope projects.
    • May substitute 4 years of work experience for the education but must also have the five years of experience requirements listed above. The city assesses 1 year of full time experience as equivalent to one year of education.
    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame. 
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
    BACKGROUND PROCESS & PRE EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

    Candidates for this position are subject to pre-employment screenings and employment is contingent upon these results. Pre-employment screenings may include but are not limited to: local, state, and federal criminal history checks, and may require submission of fingerprints; drug screen; and physical examinations to include a psychological evaluation.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Works in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
    • Regular and timely attendance required.

    The starting salary for this position is $91,081.44 - $148,115.98
