The IT Supervisor II provides administrative direction to the IT Field Support Staff with assignments in terms of broadly defined mission and objectives. This position manages the problem resolution process within an Adult Institution, including; incident/service request process, escalation process, desktop support functions, and project management activities. Management functions include, but are not limited to, assigning and coordinating the work related to service disruptions and incidents, equipment installation, the enforcement of workstation standards, asset inventory management, problem management, reporting, and mobile (wireless) device administration as well as personnel related administration. The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) opened in 1994, PVSP manages public safety and public service while providing modern long-term housing and professional rehabilitative services for incarcerated persons of all custody levels. PVSP offers support to the local community through incarcerated persons work crews, mutual aid agreements in fire suppression with local Law Enforcement Agencies to provide enhanced support through the Crisis Response Team, in addition to having a youth diverson program for at-risk children.
