Information Technology Manager manages all IT activities in the organization. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company's needs. Being an Information Technology Manager ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades. Oversees the internal IT support function. Additionally, Information Technology Manager conducts research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. This vacancy is for a technical position within the Division of Regulatory & Utility Services in the Information Technology Department (ITD). It is for an IT Software Developer within the Systems Support unit. This unit supports highly complex, mission critical .Net based applications and vendor packages with various interfaces, both internal and external to the County. The IT Software Developer will be responsible for business processes and the impact of modifications to any of the above-mentioned applications. This position entails working cooperatively and professionally with technical staff, customers and with other members of the team.
Experience with the following is preferred:
C#; ASP.NET; ADO.NET; VB; .NET framework V4 and above; HTML5/CSS and responsive UI; JavaScript's framework, MVC architecture; Web Services and XML, SQL Server 2010 or higher to include SQL Reporting Services, and Crystal Reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s degree. Two years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
