Information Technology Manager manages all IT activities in the organization. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company's needs.     The IT Manager is responsible for the general oversight of information technology at UCHC. The IT Manager builds on a solid background in business technology to keep the organization running as effectively as possible; they also anticipate and drive new areas for growth and efficiency. They do this in collaboration with other departments and teams as needed. The IT Manager actively helps the organization leverage systems and resources to get the most out of its technology while ensuring useful and secure equipment and data. The IT Manager travels for assignments to other UCHC locations in southern Arizona as needed. 

    Requirements

     IT Management

    • Oversee IT staff and serve as IT team leader.
    • Manage the IT budget and assist in procuring IT supplies/resources.
    • Assist in developing and implementing all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
    • Provides the second level of IT support as needed, including, but not limited to: responding to help desk requests, hardware troubleshooting, network management/troubleshooting, software support, and installations in a timely and professional manner.
    • Overseeing the condition of equipment and performing essential device maintenance.
    • Provide administrative support in a Windows Server hypervisor environment.
    • Champion the use of “best practices” for technology used within the organization.
    • Monitor, manage and maintain hardware and software license and maintenance agreements to ensure best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with standard security practices.
    • Ensure processes for data confidentiality and protection, and disaster recovery.
    • Recommend hardware and software changes to benefit UCHC operations and mission.
    • Manage relationships with and evaluate 3rd party providers and technicians.
    • Maintain current knowledge of technical systems and IT management trends.
    • Works closely with the Leadership Team to identify, recommend, develop, and implement cost- effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
    • Assist the CFO in the purchasing functions of IT assets.
    • Ensures adequate IT systems training is available to IT staff. Assist staff with information and resources for software training in collaboration with the Training and Development department.

    Other Duties

    • Provides consistent and exemplary customer service to staff, volunteers, board members, partners, and other diverse audiences.
    • Understands the UCHC mission to be a leader in thinking about how technology can support it.
    • Continually learns and grows as technologies change and develop.
    • Provides help with process design by working with teams to take abstract ideas and goals and help turn them into structured systems and technologies.


    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelors in MIS, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
    • Experience with Azure administration, monitoring, tuning, and deployments
    • Strong familiarity with Office 365 or demonstrable ability to learn Office 365 administration quickly
    • IT operations: diverse knowledge set including but not limited to an understanding of applications, LAN/WAN infrastructure, data management/systems, cloud technology, disaster planning/recovery, telecommunications, hardware, and equipment



    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with security standards and concepts – PCI, HIPAA, etc.
    • Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Background in business administration and/or management

    • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a diverse audience
    • Ability to work with teams and individuals to make better use of their systems and to advise on improvements to systems
