Summary:

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating machinery to produce plastic parts according to our production schedule and customer specifications. This role includes monitoring production, performing quality checks and ensuring a safe work environment.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Perform production activities on all injection and secondary operation machinery.
• Perform hand cleaning of parts using blades, deburring tools, and abrasives.
• Ensure quality checks are performed and documented at proper AQL intervals.
• Achieving daily and weekly production goals.
• Responsible for minimizing and documenting yield loss.
• Clean up workspace as appropriate and after every shift.
• Collaborate with Lead Technicians to have the machines setup, maintained and torn down.
• Required to work days or nights, depending on the production schedule.
• The employee will be trained on Technician duties as time is allowed.

Required Skills / Experience / Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing environment work experience especially in Injection Molding a plus
• Familiar working around machinery and safety awareness
• Great attention to detail
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with ability and desire to learn new skills.
• Career-minded individual who can grow in a stable work environment.

Work Environment / Schedule:

The Injection Molding Operator position will work primarily within climate-controlled industrial buildings. Will spend most of the day on your feet and working with your hands. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The standard work schedule is 1st Shift, with the flexibility to work 2nd & 3rd shifts.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
