Fence Installation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee the installation of various types of fences, including chain-link, wooden, vinyl, and ornamental, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Set up work schedules, assign tasks, and distribute resources effectively to achieve project deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Train and mentor a team of fence installers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills, knowledge, and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, implementing measures to minimize risks and accidents within the installation team.
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites and completed installations to guarantee compliance with design specifications and meet clients' expectations.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to review project requirements, offer technical expertise, and ensure accurate and timely completion of installations.
• Manage inventory levels of materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers to ensure a constant supply of resources while minimizing wastage.
• Resolve any installation-related issues or concerns promptly, working closely with customers to provide exceptional service and resolve conflicts or complaints effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, including project status, material usage, and any customer communications, to facilitate effective project management and future reference.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to fence installation techniques, materials, and equipment, and share this knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in fence installation, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role, with a solid understanding of different fencing types, materials, tools, and techniques.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks on job sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including occasional weekends and overtime, to cater to project requirements.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor, often in challenging weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and the ability to effectively resolve conflicts or complaints in a professional manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in fence installation or related fields are a plus.
