Installation Manager manages a team of installers who are responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing structures and major components. Schedules and oversees the installation of products. Being an Installation Manager ensures adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Installation Manager typically reports to a director. The Installation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Installation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. About The Position
• Develop and manage a team of company window installers
• Work closely with Sales Support and Territory Managers to ensure accurately bid jobs
• Manage expenses/revenue related to installation crew
• Coordinate with customers, sales, service and support teams for installation schedule
• Develop & maintain relationships with local independent installers to supplement installation crew
• Ensure products, structural components and accessories are installed per AAMA and Company standards
• Understand and ensure compliance with OSHA, state, local safety and health standards for installation crew relative to delivery, service and installation
• Attend and participate in meetings to coordinate timely delivery and installation of products per contracted building/project schedule
• Ensure that integration of products into job specific wall details and conditions meets requirements for water mitigation
• Perform water mitigation tests to ensure proper installation and flashing of commercial installations
• Conduct effective and comprehensive documentation (written & photographic) of jobsite changes and installation conditions/issues
Qualifications
• 5 years management, construction, and window and door installation experience preferred
• Understand all local, state and national codes to assure product compliance
• AAMA Certified Installer preferred
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrate competency in reading building plans and blueprints
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willing to travel frequently and spend multiple nights out of town
