    Responsibilities:
    Provides leadership and actively, researches grant resource opportunities from various federal, state and local agencies to secure extramural funding to support University efforts in instruction, research and service. Provides technical assistance in all aspects of grant award administration to include progress reports, renewal requests and continuations; provides technical assistance with grant submissions utilizing a variety of resources with emphasis on electronic research administration tools. Assists in identifying collaborative departments or organizations to develop grant proposals in support of university projects. Assists in providing training to faculty, staff as appropriate, to educate, interpret or explain institutional and governmental policies, regulations and rules as they pertain to proposal development, grant administration and program compliance. Assists with negotiation of awards and executions of documents, relative to partnership and agreements as required. Reports procedural problems, violations and failures and, if possible, supplies immediate solutions or recommends proper methods of resolution. Monitors and reviews compliance of all applicable regulations and statues pertaining to government funding requirements for recipients of grants and contracts from the University. Assists the Associate Director of Sponsored Programs and Compliance with the preparation of compliance policies and/or the acquisition of compliance forms and documents necessary for day-to-day use and as required by audit and performs other duties as required to meet organizational needs.
     
    Qualifications:
    Requires a Masters’ degree in business or public administration or a related field and 3-5 years’ experience in grant administration working on projects funded by grants or contracts from the federal, state or local government. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are also required. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
