Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, working closely with staff members within Office of Institutional Research and with Data Analytics team, the primary purpose of this position is, as an institutional research analyst, to (1) plan, implement, and complete quantitative and qualitative analyses on a full range of university information including student enrollment and demographics, courses, financial, facilities, human resources, and retention and graduation performance data; (2) prepare, analyze, and submit data and information to state (SCHEV), federal (e.g., IPEDS, NSF), and other external agencies and contractors such as guidebook surveys and ranking reports agencies ; (3) develop, maintain, and publish interactive Fact Book on university data; perform Fact Book related duties including participating Data Fluency education to the university community; and (4) develop innovative database and programming solutions and data visualization capacities combining data from multiple domains (student, HR, finance, etc.) to provide a more systemic perspective for understanding institutional performance and measuring progress toward strategic goals.
