The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a full-time Institutional Research Compliance Analyst. The Institutional Research Team at the University of Findlay provides data resources to effectively contribute to institution-level decision-making, planning, and policy formation that contributes to the cultivation of “the potential within each student through academic excellence, transformative experiences and a supportive community that is grounded in Christian faith.” The Institutional Research Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely analysis and dissemination of key institutional data. This includes defining and creating data structures, conventions, methodologies, and reports / visualizations that will allow qualitative and quantitative analysis, interpretation, and reporting. The Institutional Research Compliance Analyst fulfills data / report requests and supports survey development and reporting, including academic course evaluations. A bachelor’s degree in social, behavioral, or educational sciences, statistics, or a related area involving analytical and social science research skills is required. The candidate must possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a problem solver; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and competing priorities while completing quality assignments accurately in a fast-paced environment; a desire to learn new technical skills as well as more advanced methods in data reporting and analysis; excellent organizational and communication skills, written and oral: proficient knowledge and experience working with integrated student information systems; familiarity of higher educational administration, FERPA, and related regulations; commitment to serving others; and demonstrated commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion.
Preference given to candidates with two years of experience in applied research, assessment, data analysis or decision support; or Master's degree work in social, behavioral, or educational sciences, or a related area involving analytical and social science research skills. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Workday (or other SIS) and Watermark Products (or similar assessment development and tracking software); experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SPSS / R / SASS (data analysis), and Tableau / Power BI (data visualization); experience preparing material for higher education reports (e.g. IPEDS), including both quantitative and qualitative analysis and summaries, relying on an ability to communicate data and results in verbal, written, numerical, and graphical forms; experience with survey instrument design, development, implementation, and analysis; experience in querying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting large amounts of complex data; and experience with education accreditation and/or compliance monitoring.
