    Reports to: Deputy Superintendent

    SUMMARY

    The Executive Manager of Instructional Technology leads the Instructional Technology team. This position also provides consultation, advice, and strategies to supervisors, managers, and principals in the support and implementation of technology throughout the District. This position will develop the department’s strategic plan and guidance for the Deputy Superintendent. This position strives to create and maintain a positive work environment for all.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Advanced degree in Educational Leadership, management or in a technology related field or equivalent required.
    • 5 years experience in an educational or instructional technology setting required, leadership experience preferred.
    • Experience in using and implementing technology required.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively required.
    • Must possess and maintain an Administration certification and/or other certificate(s) as required.
    • Other education and experience as determined by the Superintendent.

    PERFORMANCE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the District’s policies and philosophies.
    • Negotiate with vendors and provide project management for implementation of technology software, equipment, and services.
    • Establish district hardware and software requirements/specifications, supervise proper legal licensing practices.
    • Provide data and support information for grant and federal program applications.
    • Prepare and monitor the Technology budget and authorize all expenditures in these areas.
    • Facilitate the District’s new technology initiatives.
    • Lead Instructional Technology Department staff.
    • Prepare and manage technology being implemented throughout the District.
    • Provide support for the Instructional Technology Department.
    • Support the KnowBe4 System.
    • Support the Help Desk System.
    • Work directly with the Deputy Superintendent to support the needs of the District related to Instructional Technology.
    • Annually evaluate the Instructional Technology Department staff.
    • Coordinate planning, assigning, and directing the work of the Instructional Technology Department.
    • Facilitate communication between all departments within the District.
    • Maintain healthy and positive relationships with all staff.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Must be able to build and maintain a safe environment.
    • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job including but not limited to: walking, kneeling, sitting on the floor, rising from the floor, bending, and lifting at least 20 pounds.
