Develops computer training materials and assists in teaching how to set up and use computer applications and related technologies. Being an Instructional Technology Specialist may troubleshoot technical problems and train junior staff members. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Instructional Technology Specialist typically reports to a manager. The Instructional Technology Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To improve learning outcomes for students by facilitating the appropriate use of technology in the classroom; to provide opportunities for all staff to improve and maintain the professional standards of technology by providing ongoing professional development; prepare and seek grant funding relative to technology and the integration of technology with the curriculum
