Instructor - Accounting teaches courses in the discipline area of accounting. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Knife River has an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk in our Central Point office!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Post receipt of materials into our accounting system
- Record consumption of materials used at various ready mix locations
- Reconcile receipts and consumption with quantity on hand at month end
- Communicate with operations regarding receipt of materials and other related issues
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing and receipt issues
- Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor
Compensation:
$18-$22/hr DOE
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent with one to two years of experience in accounting/office administration/data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be able to work in a confidential environment, meet deadlines, prioritize work and be flexible to changing work priorities
- Flexible scheduling options, but must be available to work overtime if necessary
- Ability to work well with others, including vendors and company team members in a positive, professional manner
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
