Instructor - Accounting teaches courses in the discipline area of accounting. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Accounting provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Rend Lake College seeks an Accounting Instructor for the spring of 2024. This class will take place at Continental Tire and will run from January 31 through April 24 at 5:30-7:20pm. The class will meet in-person every other Wednesday.
//this position is part-time, non-tenure track
Master’s Degree and / or 18 hours of graduate-level credit in the subject area required.
College teaching experience preferred.
All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
$33/hour for beginning instructors.
Free tuition for employee after four semesters
