Instructor - Architecture teaches courses in the discipline area of architecture. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Architecture provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Architecture typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Under the general direction of the Dallas Leaders, this person will provide project support to Dallas projects assigned, ultimately assuming responsibility for timely and accurate maintenance of general data within the market sector. General administrative back up of the studio will also be required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent as well as some college preferred. This person should have experience in a related project support role. 5 years of project experience preferred. General accounting experience preferred. Experience in an architecture office is desirable, but not essential.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the course of employment.
Qualifications/Skills: Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and have personal tact a must. Candidate must be eager to learn and have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, exceptional initiative, and ability to work effectively in a professional atmosphere, strong written and oral communication skills. The knowledge of standard office policies, procedures and standards, general computer knowledge is a must. Excellent Microsoft Office Word and Excel required. Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint, AIA contract document software, Bluebeam Studio and Newforma software a plus.
