UCSF School of Dentistry seeks an outstanding candidate to lead the Division of Pediatric Dentistry/Department of Orofacial Sciences. The Division of Pediatric Dentistry includes the residency program, commitments for didactic and clinical education in the predoctoral programs and basic, translational, and clinical research programs.
Appointment will be made at Associate or Full Professor in the HS Clinical, Clinical X, In Residence or Ladder Rank series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills and a reputation as a leader in academic dentistry. The individual chosen will be responsible for oversight and development of educational and research programs in pediatric dentistry, as well as faculty recruitment and development, strategic planning, and program management. The individual chosen will also actively participate in the educational programs of the division. Depending on the training and interests of the individual, duties may include providing clinical care and engagement in extramurally-funded research.
Candidates must hold a DDS or DMD degree, board certification in pediatric dentistry, and be qualified to be appointed at the associate professor or professor rank at UCSF in the academic series most appropriate to their experience and qualifications.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5.The minimum base salary range for this position is $139,500-$297,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
