Instructor - Drama teaches courses in the discipline area of drama. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Drama Kids is hiring for a new Choreographer for our Musical Theatre Performance Camp in Apollo Beach.

    A Typical Rehearsal Process for a Drama Kids Summer Camp Choreographer Looks Like:

    • Teaching and mentoring students between 5 to 17 years of age.
    • Teaching and rehearsing choreography.
    • Building relationships with parents and students.
    • Working on a team and helping to produce the productions.
    • Handling a large group of children at a time.
    • Record all dances to provide videos for children to rehearse at home.

    Successful Candidate for Choreographer:

    • Be available Mon-Fri from 9:00am-4:00pm.
    • Be available for the performance date: Saturday.
    • Have a dance background.
    • Be able to choreograph simple and child-friendly dances.
    • Adapt movement when children are challenged.
    • Will feel comfortable working one-on-one with students.
    • Will be able to handle a large group of children at a time.
    • Will work with the team to provide useful character work instruction.
    • Is enthusiastic and supportive!
