We are currently seeking a General Education, Instructor for Online instruction to join our team.
In this position, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of a Team Leader with support from a Director of Education.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Effective Online learning course content teaching, delivery and engagement.

Provide Instruction for regular, active, and collaborative learning.

Conduct synchronous learning sessions as required.

Assess student learning skill problems, prescribe appropriate skill development activities, and provide tutoring and assistance to students who are not meeting their full potential; and conduct regular assessment and success implementation measures.

Enter attendance and/or grades on a daily basis in the grade book as required.

Immediately contact students not actively engaged in the virtual class.

Monitor at-risk students within assigned course(s) and develop an applicable action plans.

Monitor learner progress during instruction and implement strategies to improve academic objectives and student retention rate.

Assure the proper accessibility and preparation of assigned virtual learning environment and eLearning content.

Assist all Team Leaders and the Online Director of Education and participate in all scheduled faculty in service, departmental, programmatic and or campus meetings and activities.

Demonstrate effective presentation skills, and online instructional techniques.

Respond appropriately to learners needs for clarification and/or feedback.

Provide positive reinforcement and effective student engagement.

Assure that students comply with the rules and regulations as it applies to the policies in the catalog or handbooks.

Other duties as assigned.

Faculty qualifications vary by accreditation, program, and academic teaching level. For the General Education- Associate of Applied Science Degree, program instructors, the preferred requirement is to possess at a minimum the following criteria:

Faculty teaching in an academic associate degree program must have a minimum of four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.

Possess a related degree at least at the same level of the course(s) the faculty member is teaching. A baccalaureate degree in the field or a closely related field is preferred

Licensure or certification where applicable

Required, post-secondary education online teaching experience.
