Instructor - Education teaches courses in the discipline area of education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Wonder Valley Outdoor Education Center, as part of the Western Camps Inc., delivers intentional and deliberate outdoor education programs to the greater Central California region. Our program is run on site, with qualified and trained instructors leading classes that include Archery, Orienteering, Tree Ecology, Team Building and more. While our location and amenities are a big part of our program, the staff themselves are the core of our community.
This seasonal full time position is required to live on site during the season. This position works both indoors and outdoors, and will have paid training in all areas of the job.
