  • Position Overview

    We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum and instruction in designated courses. The role includes creating courses, grading assignments, providing feedback to students, and participating in faculty meetings. Instructors will be assigned specific courses and are expected to follow the established school schedule.

    Compensation and Hours

    • Salary: Starting at $30 per hour, based on educational qualifications.
    • Hours: Up to 15 hours per week.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and deliver course content in line with established syllabi and institutional guidelines.
    • Provide timely feedback to students and maintain communication within 48 business hours, with exceptions during the weekly observed Sabbath.
    • Collaborate with department heads and colleagues to foster program development and growth.
    • Maintain attendance policies and keep accurate student records using the Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Conduct weekly office hours, either in-person or via Zoom, as per the guidelines set out in the Faculty Handbook.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Master's degree in Nutrition, Medicine, Biology, or another health-related field.
    • At least five years of experience as an instructor or in a relevant industry role.
    • A commitment to teaching in accordance with the institution's Core Values and Faith Statement.
    • Residence in Redding, CA, is required for classes held in person.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience teaching or serving as a teaching assistant in a relevant subject area.
    • Background in developing curriculum and writing syllabi.
    • Familiarity with online and on-campus instructional methods.
    • Strong organizational skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
    • Ability to adjust to institutional growth while ensuring consistent instructional delivery.
