Instructor - Educational Assessment teaches courses in the discipline area of educational assessment, testing, and measurement. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Full-time: M - F, 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

    Part-time/contract - M - F, at least 4 hrs/day between 7:45 am - 4:45 pm (Must be able to work at the same time each day M - F.)

    The Morris Center Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida (private clinic, 20 transdisciplinary team staff; operating in Florida for 35 years).

    The Morris Center Ponte Vedra Beach is urgently hiring exceptional Tutors/Academic Instructors interested in joining a dynamic, caring and dedicated team that provides cutting edge treatment services for children and young adults with learning challenges such as dyslexia, difficulty spelling or retaining information.

    The methods used in The Morris Center are based on the latest scientific research regarding neural plasticity (efficient, long-lasting learning). Our methodology is evidence-based and peer-reviewed. Our programs address reading and spelling, comprehension, writing and math.

    The demand for our clinic services has exploded and The Morris Center is excited to add more Academic Instructors to our team to meet that demand.

    Primary responsibilities of Tutors/Academic Instructors include:

    • Instruct students in a 1:1 or small group in-person setting using pre-designed NOW! Programs material (training provided)
    • Complete behavior and attention sheet for client after each session
    • Update progress flowcharts daily
    • Attend team planning meetings to create lesson plans
    • Support school-aged clients during session breaks (e.g., engage in outdoor play)

    Applicants must effectively complete in-house instructor and tech training and demonstrate an ability to interact with and manage behaviors with kids.
