Instructor - Educational Assessment teaches courses in the discipline area of educational assessment, testing, and measurement. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. The Rio Grande Educational Collaborative Before and After School Program is in need of after school teachers. Pay is $14 an hour, if you have an EA certificate or college degree pay is $16 an hour. Duties include helping elementary students with homework, reading, and providing a fun hands-on activity. Most importantly, have fun with the kids. Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and must be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities:

- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote a positive classroom environment
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and kindness
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting or related experience (tutoring, babysitting, daycare, sports coaching, etc.)
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
