Position Description:
Educational Assistants provide assistance as needed in the building. This will include supervision in the lunch room/recess and support of students in the classroom. Supervision in the lunchroom would include helping monitor students, cleaning the cafeteria and preparing for the next lunch period; it may also include recess supervision during lunch. EAs may also support the office by running passes, covering for the CSO officer, helping supervise bus pick-up after school, or filling in where needed.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), AA degree preferred.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions in working with students in the school setting. Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to deal effectively with students and teachers; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, student and administrators. Oral and written bilingual skills preferred. Consistent and reliable attendance.

Hours/Schedule:
4 hours per day / Monday - Friday / 10:25-2:55

Pay Range:
B-2-1 / $16.20
