Instructor - Environmental Engineering jobs in Oregon
Instructor - Environmental Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of environmental engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Previous experience in construction/remodeling a plus
- Ability to learn quickly & take on additional tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time well and to multitask
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in confined spaces and heights
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
