Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Mechanical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Mechanical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. PURPOSE: The Automation Tech Intern will assist the ESS team with various research, development, documentation, basic project and general technical tasks. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in the field of automation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with research tasks for new technology, component research, vendor information, etc.
- Assist with general documentation tasks centered around project development, project management, data collection, etc.
- Handle basic project related and engineering tasks as needed.
- Support the Corporate Automation Engineering teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently studying in a mechanical engineering or related technical field
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a goal-oriented team environment
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
- Experience with design for assembly/manufacturing principles
