    The Department of Psychological Sciences at Case Western Reserve University is seeking applications for a regular faculty position at the rank of instructor (non-tenure track) to begin AY 2023-24. The department offers PhD programs in experimental psychology and communication sciences; an APA accredited PhD program in clinical psychology; a CAA accredited master's program in communication sciences; and undergraduate programs in psychology and communication sciences. Candidates must have a record of excellence and breadth in teaching psychology courses and ideally will have a record of demonstrated excellence in advising and mentoring undergraduates. Candidates will be evaluated on their commitment to working with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students; their potential to excel in teaching at the undergraduate level; and their ability to provide service to the department, especially in the area of undergraduate mentoring. The required teaching load is five courses per academic year (three courses one semester, two the other), with introductory psychology classes among those to be taught. The position requires extensive time devoted to undergraduate advising, especially pre-major advising of first-year students. A PhD in psychology or related field is required. Future promotion to senior instructor may be possible with excellent performance.
