Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment for patients.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and equipment.
• Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to enhance recovery.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential; experience in acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, or hospital medicine is a plus.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or inpatient physical therapy setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and proactive in supporting patient care.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals effectively.
