Being an Instructor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Physical Therapy Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
Provide General Patient Care
- Schedule patient appointments
- Maintain schedule
- Answer Phone and Check Voicemail
- Responding to patient requests for assistance
- Recording and stocking inventory
- Maintain the daily administrative functions of the physical therapy office
- Assisting the lead receptionist as assigned
- Sterilizing treatment rooms before and after treatment
- Washing/folding linen
Communicate with Patients
- Effectively communicate with patients and their family members
- Respond to patient questions and concerns, deliver information, and maintain patient satisfaction
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Physical Therapy Receptionist Skills
Organized, personable, ability to prioritize, and ability to complete time sensitive tasks. They are also excellent communicators capable of building relationships with patients and families. In order to achieve success in this role, they must exercise strong problem solving and decision making abilities as well as a knowledge of and respect for standard policies, regulations and confidentiality agreements. One year of office experience preferred. If you do not have experience, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Working in a healthcare environment preferred
- Knowing standard policies, procedures and HIPPA regulations (training will be provided)
- Must have proficiency in the use of office equipment and computer programs. Microsoft Word and Excel
