Instructor - Physics teaches courses in the discipline area of physics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Overview: Physics/Calc Tutor -- Part-Time
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be able to provide a session report for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session.
- Effectively and comprehensively teach HS Calculus. Ability to tutor Chemistry, Physics, and college level Calculus a plus.
- Teach executive, organizational, and study skills to the student.
- Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education field
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
- Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
- Be able to create and/or utilize lesson plans
- Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
- Strong administration skills
- Strong typing, PC and recording skills
- Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must
- Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone
COMPENSATION
$17-$25/hr . We offer competitive rates. Pay based on qualifications and student's needs.
