Being an Instructor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. - Master’s Degree in education or core subject area, or to be deemed highly qualified according to CDE requirements.
- Credentialed to teach PHY 105 and AST 155
- Appropriate State certification
- Be familiar with and understand of the CEC student handbook
- Understand and use Infinite Campus/D2L
- Able to relate to and communicate with adolescents and their parents or guardians
- Effective communicator in both oral and written form
- Able to prioritize workload
