Instructor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Under the supervision of the licensed therapy staff, assists in the patients’/residents’ rehabilitation processes, to promote independence and successful completion of the established rehabilitation program as established by the licensed therapist(s). Work may be performed within one or more of the environments within Billings Clinic to include hospital, inpatient and outpatient, outpatient clinic, and/or branch or affiliate sites.
Essential Job Functions
• Supports and practices the mission and philosophy of
Billings Clinic and designated service line.
• Provides range of motion exercises, ambulation
assistance, transfer practices, and other exercises as determined and outlined

• Assists patients/residents to perform ADL tasks, using

treatment. Assists with the applications/removal of braces and bandages in

third party vendors to obtain specific supplies and equipment for identified

• Maintains a facility wide rehab related equipment
inventory and a current list of patients/residents using that equipment. Makes
equipment rental and purchase recommendations dependent on this inventory and

• Identifies need and sets goals for own professional

attends educational meetings with respect to continuing education, co-worker
