Insurance Claims Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the evaluation, processing, and handling of insurance claims for an organization. Acts as a liaison between the organization, its insurance provider and agents, claimants, and policy holders regarding the status and eligibility for coverage for all relevant claims. Being an Insurance Claims Coordinator reviews claims to make sure that billing requirements are met, updates accounts as necessary, answers inquiries, and makes recommendations for resolution. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Insurance Claims Coordinator typically reports to a manager. The Insurance Claims Coordinator gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. This is a hybrid role, which means you’ll work in-office two days that are selected by local leadership and choose where you want to work the other three days, whether that’s at home or in the office, for a period of 12 months. After that period, the days you’ll be expected to report to an office for important meetings, training, and collaboration will vary based on business nee d. In this hybrid work environment, you’ll be supported by your leaders and tenured c olleagues to develop relationships, establish connections, and share practices that are important to your development. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office as often as you would like. Duties & responsibilities (upon completion of training) - Determine coverage - Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages) - Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses - Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs - Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims Must-have qualifications - Three years of relevant work experience OR - Bachelor’s degree OR - Two years relevant work experience and an associate degree Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:30 pm during training; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 8:30am - 5:30pm, or 9am - 6pm.
