  • Summary

    Facilitates the integration of various types of computer software and components to manage the business needs of healthcare technology. Leads a professional team and has the technical skills to handle client issues, envision and architect suitable solutions and discusses them with the teams, clients and business owners. Builds a cohesive strategy and model to design and ongoing pursuit of business objectives. This requires broad skills and knowledge of multiple types of computer appliances, complexity of database software, to build an enterprise strategy.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead integrated client engagements to achieve business objectives. Includes leading teams of all levels of the organization. • Conduct design architect reviews, gap analysis, and assessment • Responsible for the overall core architecture of Cerner Solutions and its integration points. • Understands the customer’s integrated business needs, system functionality across the entire product suite and business processes to maintain the source data and architect develop the data design to achieve business objectives • Leads/Performs all phases of the System Design Life Cycle including implementation, integration and regression testing, user acceptance, deployment, maintenance, and support of Cerner Millennium • Select system and capabilities to meet business data requirements, evaluate new techniques for improved functionality. • Select system and capabilities to meet business data requirements, evaluate new techniques for improved functionality. • Collaborates within I/S Department (and other relevant departments) to ensure successful maintenance and implementation. • Build high and low level design documentation • Review business requirements and create technical requirements documentation • Design, implement (or supervise) the change management process. • Troubleshoot issues related to databases, job failures, software bugs and performance bottlenecks to all incidents working with multiple cross functional teams. Work on problems and drive them to resolutions. • Works with team to proactively identify and address gaps in infrastructure such as storage needs, processing needs, computing needs and work with Infrastructure team and provider to bridge those gaps identified. • Coordinate and supervise patches/upgrades/hotfixes Millennium and associated product suites. • Monitor performance, deployments in production and proactively perform activities to support SLAs • Proactive Performance Management. Conduct the code health checks from quality and standard perspective • Implement version control / source code management tools • Provide 24 x 7 support of all Millennium environments and Implement Monitoring as required. • All other duties as assigned.

    Education

    Essential: * Bachelor's Degree in Related Field Education: Degree in health, medical technology, business, education, communication, or information management is preferred. Experience Preferred: 2 years experience as integration architect or 5 years experience as senior level analyst including experience with Cerner Millenium.
